Fowler, with notes and drafts of a biography prepared for Chronicles of the Kings; draft of a shorter biography in the handwriting of Alfred Bates. Reminiscences of journey, 1846, in party led from Missouri to Fort Laramie by Col. W.H. Russell, and thence to California by Lillburn W. Boggs; incidents of the Bear Flag Revolt; San Francisco, 1846-1870, and his land holdings; the discovery of gold; and experiences at Mormon Island.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
